Went to a quilt show this afternoon. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Lots of original designs as well as made from patterns. Seeing the same pattern in different colors with different quilting patterns shows how much the individual creates the final outcome.

The eagle is a panel (printed design); the quilting is the stitching that goes completely through the quilt and holds the batting (middle fluff layer) in place between the two sewn outside layers. And the creativity and detail of the quilting on and around the eagle was like nothing I’d seen before.

I spent about 45 minutes walking around, taking photos, talking with the quilt club guides. Small amount of effort on my end for a great reward of inspiration and fun.

Art is Everywhere. Anyone can create Art.
