Bitcoin is literally an indefinite and ongoing non-lethal war as a first resort of dispute resolution.
If you dont understand this you don't understand Bitcoin
We'll need more weapons if we want to win this (non-lethal) war. Bitcoin is not enough, just a piece of the puzzle.
Bitcoin isn't going away and as more nations adopt it they are uniting as a cohesive pack of physical power projectors, even if they are adversarial nations with no trust. Using conventional means of power projection to stop this protocol is no longer a practical goal for any nation who would want to stop it. We are moving away from mutually assuring destruction for security to mutually assuring the preservation of our species as a whole.
It will probably get a bit ugly for the species to establish the initial state of the newly emerging dominance hierarchy.
After that initial power competition things will calm down and the entire planet will be a cohesive united organization who competes over Bitcoins network.
There is a good chance that the US has already lost this initial competition... it's likely that Russian leadership already has the largest amount of Bitcoin on the planet (by a lot) and its now a matter of how long it takes US leadership to capitulate.
