So much better than most sermons. Now we can understand why the early church forcibly closed the philosophic schools.

A church service isn’t for you to be inspired, driven to live a better life, or to ask you to give more money. God gives you of Himself FIRST, in the sacraments, in the reading of His Word, in the praising of Him via song. If your church has got this turned upside down, find a new church.

None of us can work our way to holiness. We can respond joyfully and worthily and in holiness to the Christian gift of eternal salvation we have been given in the person and work of Jesus Christ, but it is God who gave and continues to give to us first to enable those responses by us.

It’s hard to find a good church. As a lifelong Christian and studier of the Bible I can tell you that most churches today are not what they are supposed to be.

Lol. This is literally a worldly sermon. Do all the stuff he mentions without the aim of worldly gain as the goal and it is a sermon.
