Yet another reason I switched to Linux over the break. CachyOS + bcachefs + Hyprland = an entirely new experience of excitement and productivity and enjoyment on 5yo hardware. Windows 11 OS-embedded ad-free, woke-free, arbitrary slowdown free, too.

This doesn't surprise me in the least. I have YET to work with a marketing department that gives two shits about details like this, AND I've found other executives to have the same gripes about their own marketing departments.

That's just bad training then. Even a bit of training rewards a man with leader-of-the-pack status, a loyal friend and watchdog, and good opportunities to exercise. Cats? They sit around and demand things.

You clearly haven't enough children in your life to know that Lego hits the sweet spot for the kid who enjoys the 3D puzzle just as much as the kid who builds space laser dinosaur spaceships out of the original 3D puzzle pieces. The Lego Movie gets that aspect of playing with Lego just right.

Well, at least you qualified his so-called Christianity by naming him a "Christian Zionist", because John Hagee is a charlatan and false prophet who should have never opened his mouth to preach heresies so consistently as he has done over the decades.

I just learned that Charles Shultz had to fight hard to get just this part aired, even back in 1965. No one wanted to be offended with the truth, even back then.

OK, before we all freak out... how the heck do these 'tards plan to validate every single account, in the world, as belonging to someone in Australia, in Victoria State?

Hell, we should all just open some VPN proxies to Australia, create a ton of accounts, post idiotic stuff that we know will get us on watch lists, and then abandon the accounts. Keep their government lackeys overwhelmed for years.

Also, the Amish do manage to pull off a sort of self-policing of community values with the way they've intertwined all aspects of both social and spiritual life, although they too have plenty of complications that come along with their communities, including abuse by elders and husbands that too often goes unchecked.

GK Chesterton and a few other Catholic philosophers have argued for "distributism" to answer these problems. It's not a perfect system, and probably couldn't work too well in our technologically connected world of 2025, but it does have some serious merits. Check out the quarterly "Hearth & Field". We've really enjoyed it.

No, I'm saying that regardless of my political wants or desires, or anyone's, these deals get made in secret such that either side's reasonable arguments in public are too often pointless. Open source software (and Bitcoin) works different: anyone can audit the code, the design, and the transactions, and if you don't like the direction or outcomes you can fork. I don't get to fork my tax dollars though. 🫤

Yes, your assessment of the purpose is part of the design of public committee hearings. However, plenty of times they are deciding what to do based on campaign big donor requests or demands, backroom deals done before a vote to enrich themselves or their small cadre of 'friends', or just to keep themselves in power.

I'm merely pointing out that a lot of the time it's just performance art, not listening to actual constituents needs. Just look at most local school board meetings of any city - they rarely give two shits what parents want and vote for drag queen story hours and other retarded nonsense.

Oh it’s far simpler than that; demons are real, they use whatever human object of worship other than the Triune God to push towards genocide. Every single time.

Fiat money, totem poles, Bitcoin, sex drugs n rock n roll, government - any false idol works. Government just usually has a centralizing effect of multiple factors to make genocide easier, but it’s not BECAUSE we have governments.

@Noshole is my favorite glitch bitch - consistently hilarious! 😆 Whoever your husband is, I wish I knew him because he probably has to put up with a lot of fun. 😂

Your mindset is writing checks it can’t cash!

This is not a wise position to take. You were imbued life, which you did not earn, from your parents, but also from your Creator, God, who imparts to every human a soul, again, which you did not earn.

Your life, given to you by another, is infinitely more important than the virtue of freedom. Freedom of life, freedom to live life, and freedom to make your own choices: all are good, virtuous things. But they are not you, and must be actively sought and fought for in this sinful world. Your life was given to you because of love.

Therefore, freedom, while good and virtuous, is not more important than your life. If you choose to sacrifice your life in pursuit of freedom for others, yes, that is an act of love for others, but it does not make freedom more important than your life or your love for others.
