It works. Just takes FOREVER to grow.
That's what I keep seeing. Either that or they grow quick π. They like water but don't want to be over watered, like full sun but not too much sun...
Yeah, they're little bitches. Took like two months to root properly but stayed alive forever after that. Just didn't get bigger.
Roots tend to grow better in darkness (at least that was my experience growing a pineapple plant), may consider wrapping the jar in foil to block the light and trick it into growing them. Also algae may grow in there if thereβs light to photosynthesize. Good luck! Hope it works! :)
Wow! That's a great setup! I'll move it out of the light, the thing I read said to change the water every couple of days to keep the stuff from growing. But if there's no light the things won't grow, lol.
