I just set up a nostr:nprofile1qqsvxq03xdev3uxehjqcdkr5lfzl5vawmcf7vm6ps73m6ghwg8y4k2spz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqz9nhwden5te0dehhxarj9eekcmm5dpujuamfdcq9v6rc wallet by first adding a Tapsigner key and then creating a wallet and finally adding the key.

At no point was I presented any seed words to write down, this is normal right?

Correct, Tapsigner doesn’t use BIP39 seed phrases, but raw master private key (XPRV), which is a level lower than seed phrase (a seed phrase is an abstraction over XPRV).

You can read more about it directly from the Tapsigner FAQ page: https://tapsigner.com/faq
