I do believe they did not do their due diligence when researching Nostr and it's lack of lame-o algorithms. They want big brother to spoon feed them content.

💯 this is why someone had a go at me as I questioned why he wanted more followers. I was genuinely curious, as it's a vanity metric.
Luckily im quite a boring person so the fact anyone follows me i see as a small miracle.

Just go and look up hashtags that you're interested in and see what people post.
Interact with the notes you like. Post good notes yourself. That's how you end up not talking to yourself.
By the way, the fact that you can just post your thoughts online, alone, is a net benefit to you, because you get it out of your system.

Provide value and interact in a genuine way. You can get discovered on the global feed. Use hashtags too for your notes. My comment earlier was not targeted at you btw. Let me just make this very clear. Nostr just works different from the other apps like IG for example. This is what new users don't understand. I've been here for over 1 month and I'm still learning everyday. Have a lovely evening anyways 💙

Seriously though, I have done my due diligence, I have played with it by making some dummy client and interacting with relays, I have read some of the NIPs, what I mean is there can be an explore tab like there already is trending hashtags on Snort, isn't that spoon feeding me already, is Big Brother serving it or what?
Try following more npubs and reply to notes too. If you find an noub interesting, go through their follow list and add npubs you like. You can always remove some later if you don’t like their content
