I look at AI as a way to specifically leverage my creativity.

Take MidJourney for example: an incredible tool for some applications/projects but it’s not a silver bullet solution for everything.

I am more thinking about your kids or grandkids that grow up in a world where creative thinking gets lost

Pondering not stating

Gotcha. Agreed that there needs to be a focus on teaching children how to use and grow their creativity and not think technology will be a sufficient crutch.

I think children and their children if they develop their creativity muscle will be able to leverage AI even more than the current generation.

But it’ll take #PoW for sure 🤙

I hope you are right its going to be a intresting time no matter what

I think AI art will have to get much better before it supplants the real thing. It gets old pretty quick. I am also hopeful that if it does get better, the pendulum will swing back and people will desire the real thing even more.

I can agree on that i was think ai more broadly if ai is basically a glorfied gather of exisiting things and presents something understandable back

How do we ever invent stuff that doesnt exist yet in a world thats revolving around ai

Maybe, or maybe ai will be a tool we can use to compete all of the menial and repetitive work, so that we can be more creative.

For example, maybe there is an engineer who is working on something but has to complete hours of grant proposals instead of working on his project. Now, he can get AI to complete his proposals and spend more time in the lab.

🎯

I really hope you are right and i can definitely see a outcome like that

I am just kinda looking at google and think well a lot of people these days whouldnt have a clue how to research something without it

True, my students don't use the library or books when doing a research paper anymore; however, their papers are just as good as ten years ago, or better. They have just developed a different skillset to complete the task.

Appreciate the discussion without arguement

I shall ponder on it some

your viewpoint of it being a changing skillset is making me reconsider to a extent

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. 🤙

Innovation will finally be noticeable and return to its true value once the world has been flooded with unbearable mediocrity.

The decline in creativity started with the rise of the social media platforms. Artists tried to gain maximum audience by pleasing the content-distributing algorithms. One generation of artists later, this method became the premise for new art created. Is it investor friendly?

Burn it down, all of it.
