Works decently for me!

If you’re trying to use Phoenix at the same time, disable the “tor” toggle in Phoenix when Orbot is enabled. They don’t seem to work torgether

I can’t even turn it on. Tried different ways and it’s disconnecting automatically

🤔

How’s your WiFi or cell signal? It runs poorly without full signal

Full signal 🤷‍♂️ Will try to re install. Also, were you able to connect to your own electrum server in Phoenix on iOS ?

Weird… and no, I haven’t

Checked the Phoenix telegram group - sounds like others are having issues connecting to Electrum today

On iOS it checking for certificates and that’s why I guess I can’t connect

It works acceptably after clearing the cache. Doesn’t seem to work without doing that for me.

This 👆 You almost have to clear cache (in Orbot settings at the very bottom) everytime you reset the connection.

Hmm I don’t see it

Dang, looks like they've updated the app and removed that option. 🤷

It’s at the bottom of my settings page. It used to be on the main screen.

Love yourself, get GrapheneOS.

Yeah pain in the butt! 🍑

In case you weren't aware dependent on what your threat model is and reason for using a VPN on iPhone, iOS 16 does communicate with Apple services outside an active VPN tunnel. Worse, it leaks DNS requests. #Apple services that escape the VPN connection include Health, Maps, Wallet.

The Lockdown Mode leaks more traffic outside the VPN tunnel than the "normal" mode. It also sends push notification traffic outside the VPN tunnel.

This is also the reason why VPN clients like IVPN and Proton have removed their iOS app kill switch features.

This was discovered last October and as yet I am unaware of Apple addressing it.
