When I hear politicians cry about tax evaders, I think, wow, someone is giving them a taste of their own medicine. A system design that relies on theft only promotes more of it. I am not telling anyone to evade taxes, just sharing an observation.

Maybe if it wasn’t so blatant that all the taxes citizens are forced to pay don’t even cover the interest payments on the national debt we might be a bit less outraged.

In Genesis, Joseph recommended to Pharaoh that he increase the tax rate to 20% in order to prepare for the coming famine — double what God required of Abraham, Jacob, and Moses. The US government, on the other hand, demands 30%. Do they think they're 3x more necessary than God himself?
