Sometimes ProtonVPN Free treats #nostr traffic as if it's P2P traffic, which ProtonVPN Free blocks. If this happens then simply toggle the location until it sorts itself out. It will. I realise this is a bit like switching your horrid old Windows desktop computer off and then on again to get things going but it does work 😉
