After bluewallet took down their custodial service, WalletOfSatoshi is now a monopoly that isn't even open source? What are people's options in the custodial space?

I use Phoenix wallet a non custodial lightning network wallet.. wos just to receive zaps I never keep sats on wos always self custody everything..
Sure. But I don't like the fact WoS has all the control in the custodial space. Competition is good.
BlueWallet’s value was not the custodial lightning wallet. It’s a Swiss Army knife. You can use it to connect to your own Bitcoin or lightning node. Or use it as a signer.
I also like Zeus wallet. It’s a bit faster to load.
Try also the new option for LDK node on Bluewallet.
Is quite nice. But is kinda hidden option for the moment, is still in development.
Tap the "+" to Add Wallet, then tap the Lightning button 10 times.
Will appear a new option to start a LDK wallet / node and you can fund it (open channels) from any onchain wallet you have setup in your Bluewallet.
