Adjacent thought : insurance is such a huge part of the enshittification of the world. The fiat system could probably live a little longer if it made all insurance illegal - of course it won't, but if it did...
The insurance liability state has destroyed every illusion of #fullresponsibility and #freedom that this country was supposedly built on.
Oof, medical stuff makes me uncomfortable. And my rule is : always go straight into the uncomfortable thing. If I could give my younger self advice, I'd say study medicine and study Greek. Problem is, my younger self **_did_** receive that advice. I hadn't established that rule, though.
