In other words, grow a pair
I don’t think you understood the quote 😂
Mate, you have to live life to change. If you remain the same, you're too scared to live. So...
Nope! Let me break it down for you. As long as your current life is sufferable and to change it you will need to undergo a greater suffering, you will continue suffering without the change. Only when your current situation is so bad, that even a high risk and high pain action is less painful, only then you will take the action. Point is, to get better, you need to sacrifice comfort and take risks with great pain, unless your current life is less painful than the change you need to make.
Good quote, and that is why they slowly turn up the heat on the frog in the pot. You won't feel the pain until it's too late.
I still prefer the princess bride quote, "Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something".
She's pretty

I heard that from Jordan Peterson. He must have been quoting somebody......
Possibly. It seems to have an “as above, so below” truth to it.
What I mean by that is that there is a physics analog that works beautifully.
An object at rest (a person with a particular mindset and set of held beliefs)
will not move (change its “position” on its beliefs)
until the lateral force acting upon it (the pain of change)
is greater than the force of static friction(the pain of staying the same).
The pain of remaining the same should always be greater than the pain to change, if it isn’t it most likely means your perception of reality does not align with the actual reality.
As above, so below.
An object at rest (a person with a particular mindset and set of held beliefs)
will not move (change its “position” on its beliefs)
until the lateral force acting upon it (the pain of change)
is greater than the force of static friction(the pain of staying the same).
