Early on in my #Bitcoin journey, I found myself holding a great deal of value. It was the most I had held in my life. But I was not a Maxi yet.

See, I needed to go through some financial learning. These lessons were life lessons, not instructed by a professor.

So I invested the bulk of that in building a mining rig for shitcoins. I also bought an ASIC!

The ASIC is another lesson.

"Don't trust, verify."

I bought on good faith. The seller gave me a damaged ASIC. Didn't discover the issue until months later.

So the shitcoins went to proof of stake.

And I was left with a big expensive GPU miner.

These lessons were costly.

But I learned to be a Bitcoiner, a BTC maxi.

Shitcoins will get you rekt eventually, no matter how you approach them.

These lessons are PAID FOR.

So when maxis tell you about shitcoins and just how rotten they are; don't believe them.

Run the numbers yourself, learn those lessons.

The best advice?

The money I spent on shitcoins in my early Bitcoin years was a great lesson. No regrets

Right? It sucks, but it's a paid lesson in not touching shit! ๐Ÿ˜

the best lessons in life are failures. And if you canโ€™t learn from your failures youโ€™re doomed to repeat them

Thank you for your service ๐Ÿซก

F.A.F.O tried and true learning experience, hacker mindset.

Thanks! That's a compliment if I ever heard one. ๐Ÿ˜

I have spent 11 years instilling this method into my kids, as my grandfather and father did to me.

Don't be scared to fail, try, learn, analyze, refine, repeat.

Don't let anyone tell you, you can't.

Failure is a tool, not the result...this is hacker way and applies to all in life.

Lessons learnt this way (a form of play and how children naturally learn) form the strongest pathways for learning how to learn.

A skill that is slowing being lost...

My kids are really young but I'm trying to instill the same. My oldest is scared to try new things and we always tell her that it's okay if you don't succeed that's how we learn and grow

Hard work I know, but like everything that is, worth it in the end !

Proof of parenting

I have an inkling that many here can relate! My journey is almost identical. Costly lessons, financially and time wise. Was it not for the mistakes along the way, those lessons wouldnโ€™t have been learned, and Iโ€™m still learning! I consider myself both: a bitcoin student for life and a โ€˜toxic maxi shadowy super coderโ€™ - and I donโ€™t even code.

#DontTrustVerify is one of my life mottos, not just for #bitcoin, for everything!

Keep calm and stack sats!

The GPUs might become handy for building own AI server or something. I used to mine shitcoins too (so have some GPUs around), although I have been converting majority of them to #Bitcoin pretty often. Not massive losses but still enough for a considerably good lesson.

Beautiful advice!
