That’s dumb tbh, you’re still trusting someone else unless you run your own client like Mona.

There might be a way to sign without directly supplying the key to your browser/client. Idk though, I’m a bad programmer so I wouldn’t try it.
Actually I was wrong about NIP-46, it's about telling sites your public key, and then they ask you to approve/sign certain things. I'm guessing it's mostly focused on zaps (like everything else here).

on snort, i read somewhere that it depends on the relay if they accept the delete request or not, so it might not show up for now but it will later because the relays pass it on to each other

No one wants to admit that you were right about the janny worship that forms around the instances that operate. Mix that in with either substandard Nostr clients or ones ran by pro-censorship faggots, and there's (to most people) not a lot of benefit aside from less upkeep as a relay operator compared to a fediverse instance owner.
If I don't leave Gab or Gleasonator before May, I'll definitely use them less as Nostr (and Memo, God knows THAT needs to be used as well lol) becomes my go-to.
I keep trying to use it but it legit just doesn't work. I don't see people's posts. Sometimes I see new posts and then after a second they all disappear. I only saw this post because I went to your profile directly. And it took me multiple tries because the first time your timeline was replaced with a bunch of nonsense like "jack followed you".
