Yeah but when we split the atom, it makes "weird shit" that scares people, because it can silently kill them without them being able to see it, or hear it, or feel it, so they have no way to detect and avoid it. Weird scary shit.

Oh and also that weird scary shit causes the one disease we cannot cure: Cancer. And it is associated with the largest explosions ever used by mankind to kill other people. So lots of bad mental associations.
