How do mylar compare to storing in vaccuum sealed canning jars ? It also amazing how certain seeds last a long time without ideal storage. I had some grain amaranth from 2015 storaged in a non airtight container... i sowed this year and almost 100% germ. Insane. Most other veg seeds will not do this. Except perhaps tomatoes

Vacuum sealed jars are better in terms of moisture control. But for portability, and light exposure protection. Mylar is the better option.
