The general notion floating around seems to be that "one simply could not" put a former president in a prison. Unthinkable!

But, I mean, would he be any any real exceptional danger when compared to other inmates? I don't think so.

Is there a way to force all involved to really explicitly articulate their reasons for special treatment should it be needed due to a conviction? It seems like a lot of classist BS to me.

And, I will also take the house arrest or whatever, but I will question it.

It's almost like there is a background awareness that our prisons are such disgusting inhumane institutions that we'd not want anyone that famous, with that much potential to complain to be subjected to what 1.2 million Americans live with every day. 1.2 million people every one of them just as valuable and worthy of care as Mr. Trump.

What do they do about his mandatory Secret Service detail, etc? And thus when the shit is about to hit the fan and he finally realizes he's lost, they'll offer him a deal that doesn't include jail time. Don't get me wrong, I WANT him to rot in prison, but I suspect in the end, they won't make him.
