AirVPN is the only real one anymore. The others are all more like parental guidance filtering since they got rid of port forwarding. I notice a lot of people recommending proton for example, that's a parental guidance filter not a VPN, you can't fall for everything an ad says

Mullvad, but VPNs are oversold often. Mullvad keeps it real and doesn't make wild claims. They also accept Bitcoin and require no info to sign up. I actually generate a new account number every time I pay.

Be careful with VPN's and only use them when needed. Kape technologies owns the majority of VPN providers. Which is a intelligence agency.
You can also build your own VPN server if that can meet your needs.
If I had to recommend a VPN it would be mullvad, ivpn, protonmail. nymVPN is a newer mixnet but I haven't researched that one in depth.

It runs on my Umbrel node and gives me VPN tunnel through free public wifi networks and mobile networks back to my home server.
Sooo easy to set up.
Mullvad, paid with lightning.
And WireGuard with my Fritz.Box Router to call home ^^
