On this episode of "Influencer Wannabes", Vlad drops a hot take meant to inflame bitcoiner passions regarding how hard decentralized Layer 2 scaling is. Vlad has been riding some Drivechains dick pretty hard lately, and his attempts to scare bitcoiners with a scenario in which Ethereum outruns Bitcoin as a payments network totally tracks.
Since the 2020-2021 bull market, Ethereum has built at least 3 layer two solutions that help it scale and have low fees.
They’re not really decentralized or censorship resistant, but if another bull market hits, Ethereum won’t run into scaling issues like last time.
I wish Bitcoin built some layer to make it easy to onboard these people in the way that they deserve, as they use the harder money that they want.
