Read "A Spontaneous Order" (Rachels) and "Chaos Theory" (Murphy) for answers to those very good questions.

Obviously, the "answers" are going to bake-in some optimism about the approach, but particularly Spontaneous Order does a very good job of starting from a completely blank slate and building up from there.

Well we aren't starting from a blank slate. That's part of the issue

Too much to go into here if it's late for you and you're getting tired. briefly:

I meant that he builds up the argument from first principles. Not a "transition plan" from blank slate society.

I agree we're not starting from a societal blank slate, but I DO believe we can prototype ideas like this in blank-slate digital simulacra. And those experiments will be interesting.
