Well I’d been interested in nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll before posting about my new project. After getting all the recommendations for Start9, watching the tutorials on transferring LND, etc. I’m fairly certain I’ll be loading up this bad boy with Start9. It will take a while to get setup and I’ll will run as Bitcoin Node only for some time before porting over LND, but should be a fun project for the winter.

GN my friends. Catch you on the flipity flop🤙🏻🫂💤💤💤 nostr:note165yw4ly05upl2m000smzazq3xzpyvwexp77c3egc44lcdpfvmqgqtum0pv

This is basically my setup. I went with nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll. It was a piece of cake. No need to install Linux. Just install the StartOS image. My favorite feature is you can use a monitor/keyboard/mouse to access it locally. Tor is great when you run it headless.

So if I’m starting with a fresh build with no current os, would you go with Ubuntu desktop or Ubuntu Server? I’m getting out of my comfort zone, but learning. I assumed I’d go with Ubuntu Desktop rather than go completely headless since I’m not used to running command line. Appreciate you thoughts 🤙🏻

For you,

Proxmox > desktop > server

nostr:npub1ken9vpendzyqvnk0w0hyv4de5h9qx40f68qtwkt4fu5exdrh9e8q6f6vnq are you saying that even if I have no OS on this computer, I can just install nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll I was thinking I’d need something on there to start, but start9 is the OS I want to end up with. Maybe I’m just overthinking it. Thanks🤙🏻
