Awesome! How is raising rabbits? We would like to do them at some point
We love it. Super easy to deal with, great fertilizer and extremely easy to breed.
I only have one buck and one doe (planning to get more). We had our first kits a couple of weeks ago. I'm loving it. Bunny poop is absolutely amazing for the garden and worth doing just for the fertilize.
I think I made a bit of a mistake and got really sweet, cute Giant Chinchillas. As pets they are amazing, but it is going to be harder to kill the bunnies for food than any other animal we could've picked. (We've raised chickens but had to get rid of them due to me developing a lunch sensitivity which made me unable to breathe and my husband hunts and at least guts everything he shoots) Neither of us is looking forward to killing them. I should have gotten Californians or New Zealands that make great meat rabbits, but aren't nearly as cute.

This is so true. We had been breeding white New Zealands and I didn't have any issues culling then with their beedy little red eyes. We decided to breed one do with a really cool angora to see if we could sell the babies. They selling didn't go week so we grew them out and they were the most adorable rabbits ever. Was able to give two of the 10 away and culled the rest but to was supper difficult looking into their bug blue eyes and long eye lashes. We got through it but never again. Back to pure White New Z's.
One of my kids favorites parts is picking out new rabbits when we need them!
I'm hoping to get another Doe soon. I'm looking for a Californian or New Zealand or meat mutt.
