A universal ban of that kind would unveil their entire fear-inducing climate rhetoric as what it is. Wood firing stoves on the countryside, especially with wood from your own land, is the most sustainable and heart-warming heating source that exists. Full stop.
Clean and efficient (nearly smokeless) wood stoves are quite possible. This is just another push for energy dependance and grid control.
