I really like using #Linux as my daily driver but I still struggle with interfacing with various peripherals and COMS ports. Tbh, that used to be easier with plug and play Windows drivers and device management system tool. I’m sure there’s something I’m missing that would make it easier. For example, right now I’m struggling to get my LoRa device to show up so I can flash more #Meshtastic nodes.

Yeah, alot of the radio space is geared towards Winblows and it's a bit of a pain to run in #Linux.

Suggest giving a #Fedora spin; the driver support is best in class.

You might consider dual booting so you can run Windows on the same machine, or even explore the latest virtualization options.

Thanks, that is good to know. I haven’t used Fedora before but would certainly try it.

I do have an old Windows computer I could use but I try to avoid it if at all possible.

I tried with virtualization but I struggled to get anything to pass through since the base OS wouldn’t detect it, it didn’t know/show there was anything to pass through. Again, could me my ignorance on how to do it 🫤

Ubuntu ships broken webserial in chrome. Use brave installed via apt (not flatpack or snap) for all your webserial hardware flashing needs in ubuntu and derivatives.

Great tidbit to know, thanks.

Also, did a zap go through? Client says yes but wallet not agreeing. I’m having all kinds of tech issues right now lol

I got the zap, TY sir.
