Just had a discussion with my mom. She thought I was crazy for only holding Bitcoin as money.
I asked her "don't you think it's weird you work hard for your money, yet a small group of people can just create more out of thin air? Is it money you're making or are you simply receiving coupons?"
Right after, she started telling me how she might start eating canned food, if groceries get too expensive, to save more money.
That's when I finally got through to her, when I made her realised how insane it is that she's even saying this.
The fiat mindset is a slave mindset.

A year ago my dad said he was going to go to Costco and load up on underwear, jeans, toilet paper and shoes because they keep costing more so heāll just buy a lifetime supply now to get ahead of that fact.
I fucking died laughing and was remarking to him that inflation is bad he is trying to store value in consumer goods. He didnāt quite get it but subconsciously he understands.
What's weird too, is for them to see us succeed, yet they don't want to emulate what we're doing because "it's too risky".
What they're doing is obviously not working, yet they find safety in getting slowly poorer over time.
My dad makes good money but canāt retire because of inflation. So heās just accepted that he will work until heās 70+.
Iāve been telling him to buy Bitcoin since 2020 but he thinks itās fake and going to zero. Heās a mainstream media vote harder guy so there really nothing I can do for him. Heās just stuck in his rut and thatās how itāll stay.

Yeah, it's hard for the boomers to get around the idea of something that is digital to have real value, even if it's purely backed by energy and mathematics.
I think Mallers had the best analogy about it, when he debated Schiff. If they say digital things have no value, ask them to delete every single photo/video from their phone and cloud storage. Then ask them again if the physical phone is where the value is, or the 1s & 0s contained within it.

The few people that Iāve spoken to have no idea about inflation and why it exists. They just know things get more expensive over time and thatās all. Never think beyond that. Oddly, I was the same way, until I wasnāt. Bitcoin wakes you up.
Once you take the orange pill, there's no going back. The world will never look the same.

Ha, I'm now left wondering, if someone lives life in a cage, is it sadder for them to feel restricted because they aspire to live a bigger life than the cage allows, or to not feel restricted because they aspire to so little.
It's ever been so.
