Running a profitable business doesn't require subsidies. Produce something that people actually want to pay for.

Olives sold in oil are almost always sold in seed oil instead of the most obvious of just using the oil that oozes out of the olive when you pit them.

That is the kind of stupid food subsidies get you.

I've been to Spain and have had fresh olives. What we get offered here in the States for olives is absolutely disgusting garbage. Fresh pitted olives are to die for.
