Hmmmm fedora.. Been a decade since I used it.. Hope it's better now

Currently I'm using a distro called Nobara on my game machine. I'm usually a Debian/xfce guy but I'm actually quite enjoying fedora with KDE.

I've tried all 3 and they work well. Pick any of them for gaming, they remove a lot of the rough edges and provide a SteamOS like experience. FWIW my 500+ game Steam library works well with Linux, I've yet to find a game that I haven't been able to play. Proton is constantly improving too.

protondb.com is a good site if you want to check compatability of a specific game. It often has good tips to run them better too.

Thanks, I'll check it out..

Have you tried ollama on it? Or any other local LLM?

Whoops.. Didn't notice you're the same person. Never had such a big thread on nostr 😂😂

Thanks for the zap! Glad I could help. Followed 👍

bazzite is really excellent for gaming

Have you tried a local LLM on it? Ollama or otherwise?

no i only helped someone set it up for a gaming-only system

it's one of those new immutable distros, so maybe not the best for ollama

For LLM ollama is a good choice, running from the terminal.

If you want a GUI try LMstudio.

I've used both on my fedora machine to good results 👍
