Time. Our last move wrecked the family but after some time everyone was much happier. I wish there was a shortcut but I don’t think that there is one.
What was so hard about it?
Leaving friends and familiarity behind. Thrust into a new different place where you don’t know anyone. I think the people aspect has more of an impact than location.
If you can get everyone to meet and make new friends quickly then acclamation happens much quicker. If they don’t then loneliness hits them and they will be miserable and miss the old place even if the new one is 10 times better.
