Ah good point. I eventually realized I could fix it just by pausing the app and it worked.
It was #Primal. I don't think I got most of the notifications because of it. Even on #amethyst but not as bad. My notifications screen on primal actually froze. Wouldn't update or even let me click to go to the note.
I prefer my hellthreads to have a musical background. Here is a necrophagist suggestion.

It was a difficult battle but I made it through on the other side. Or the upside down I should say. 
By the way, I tried to zap you multiple times from different wallets and it just won’t go through not sure what’s going on
