You have only one programming language, what would it be and why?

Rust because it's the best
I would go with Python today. It's versatile, many libraries support common needs. Great for scripting simple solutions.
Have coded in the following
- Pilot
- Basic, QBasic, Visual Basic, VB.Net, Lotus Script, VBA, VBScript
- Assembler
- C, C++, C#
- Cobol
- Go
- Power Builder
- Turbo Pascal, Delphi, Ada
- Java
- JavaScript, JScript
Have also barely touched Scala and Rust
Really every project depends on what you need but if forced to only ever use one language I'd go with Python and recommend it to new programmers as it has low barrier to entry for learning
