Bitcoin is designed to incentivize self interest. I would generally agree that bitcoin creates environments for long term thinking, the competitive low margin nature of mining will continuously create environments for immediate profit motives to outweigh the long term health of the chain.

It’s a free network. So run the node you want, just remember that freedom cuts both ways.

Your rhetorical style besides being childish and cultish, is so dripping with self righteous fervor that I think it will be a net negative for Bitcoin regardless of how these node wars ultimately turn out.
