Added the cement board against the wall making a good buffer in R value between the #woodstove and the shop wall insulation. I think we’re gonna ride like this for a while. No need to get a pretty face job in a shop.

We had a big boxy Shenandoah stove like that when I was a kid. Spent the summers splitting logs. Winters hauling wood up 3 flights. Good times, who knew??? 😂
Sounds like the stove kept you warm 3x over. Warm from splitting, warm from hauling, warm from burning.
