This is why Square POS bitcoin payments have the potential to crush credit card networks by allowing customers to spend fiat, and the business to receive fiat or bitcoin on their end, but the payment foes across the Lightning network for almost nothing.

I wish people would stop using square. Square is a horrible company that hates freedom. If they even think you violated their terms of service they will freeze your account and money. I do laser engraving and at part of my business, at one time. involved firearms. Their terms of service forbids the sale of "weapons" at the time. I wasnt selling anything besides engraving services. They eventually released my money but they permanently banned my bank account so I can never open another Square account.

That’s terrible and I can see how it made you hate them. I have a lot of gripes with them for other reasons, but for a full-service bitcoin point of sale that doesn’t require a Ph.D. in liquidity management, they’re kinda the only option.
