Hardware has to be decentralised too? And internet service provider? These providers will no doubt be compelled to abide by these new “safety” laws in some way or another. How do we get around that?

Starlink ? but I don’t have confidence…
Starlink in Australia is already censored to the same degree as other Australian internet providers.
So I have no hope for them.
Hardware doesn't, software does. And internet service providers can't block it all.
The way to counter it is look into things like FreeSocks, Amnezia VPN, etc. Make sure that if things go dark you have the clients and knowledge where to fjnd this stuff.
I am multiple steps ahead of a simple VPN ban. But I wont share all of them otherwise I cant stay ahead of the curve.
Agreed.
Hardware decentralised. Yes. We're talking phones, laptops, desktops, usb's, vehicles and internet of things.

Working on myself first - has shown me how stupid I've been. A kinder word would be - trusting. Ghost talks about how your internet behavior is profiled, so they know you better than yourself. You become predictable . You become the product .
It enables me to hammer down the anxiety and now I have tools to work with.
He covers software, apps, networks, databases etc. Haven't got that far yet.
