I Built a $20,000 Military Router for $106.23

By Data Slayer

“The Military contacted me...

I reverse-engineered a $20,000 military IP mesh radio using just $106.23 in open-source parts. This isn't a gimmick—it's a fully functional MANET router capable of push-to-talk, GPS sharing, ATAK integration, and more. In this video, I’ll show you how I built it, tested it, and deployed it in the real world—no subscriptions, no middlemen, just raw decentralized power. Whether you're off-grid, mission-ready, or just sick of Big Tech, this changes everything.”

Yeah?

Legend 👍

Pentagon needs about 200 more like you and we can slash defense spending by 90%.

Can, but won't.

No one in control of the budget wants to allocate less of your money to their project

Well done!

now upload the video to NOSTR so youtube can’t censor this information

Never would’ve guessed that defense contractors would up charge by 188x. This application works well for battle tracking friendly ground forces. Video wasn’t of much use unless used with aircraft and then you’d either use SADL or LINK16. One set up that may be applicable to bitcoiners since mesh seems popular in the space is using these as a relay node in confined areas(mountainous terrain, concrete structures, tunnels, etc etc). In this case TW400 is all you need(still mesh without the extras). Also works with ATAK in correct configuration. Drop cheap radios at 50m intervals, high points, or where LOS is lost and you can communicate through relay(essentially little repeaters). Not an expert but I see hunting applications to show location when there’s no service and groups separate.

I need to learn what literally all of this actually means. But I would absolutely love to tell my ISP to fuck off.

so is this mesh stack a better alternative to Reticulum and Meshtastic?

Where are you sending the troops?

One step closer to total Telcom destruction.

Karma for even thinking they can tell a grown man that he can’t cuss or say KILL that mother fucker!! We will say/do anything we want and only those brave enough to duel us in the streets get to say anything at all 🫡💯🥷🏴‍☠️🖤

Make it so I can force this song to play on any fm radio station within proximity!! 🤣🤣💪🏻💪🏻

More open source nerd freedom tech, I love it!

Wish I had this when I was a kid living in a very rural area about 15 years ago. We did not have cell phone service until we got a mile from our house. And that was a mile from just on top of his car. If it was up like 30 or 40 feet on a pole, it would do way better than even that. That is impressive AF.
