This “in-group” signalling doesn’t really help with network stickiness for newbs.

That's what I'm here for. Posting absurdities and streams of conscious shiddery.

What's needed is the ability to better organise communities.

Personally I don't think nostr is technically any where near the stage of being a big normie melting pot, if from no other view than the state of the system itself is not ready for that.

It's far better for it to aim first at being a very vibrant string of interconnected niche communities or a protocol for ai marketplaces

The marketplace is an interesting one because a decentralised market is really superterritorial.

I don't think they should change one bit. Makers should be makers, not community leaders.

Nostr isn't ready for lazy newbs, that time will come later. 😊

Also in group signalling is what builds real communities. It's tribe glue. Which I would argue is happening organically in real time.
