My son trashed his second vehicle in 12 months on Saturday night.
He went off the road & down a hill. He narrowly missed a pole and only took out a few lantana & bottle brush bushes. No-one was hurt & no private property was damaged.
The little dude was bummed to lose his independence and having to be driven to the worksite by his folks. He decided he wanted to tap into some Bitcoin that he bought with his own money almost 4 years ago.
We had a long chat about opportunity cost & the subjective nature of value.
He somehow found a reasonably clean 2007 V6 Commodore for 1.1 million sats with an error code on the dash. We had a look at it, took a test drive & I cleared the error code using my ODB scanner tool. The seller said he'd replaced the oil pump but couldn't clear the code.
The little dude was lucky on so many levels but I want him to learn from the whole experience.
Parenting boys is stressful & challenging. Be grateful for what you put your parents through & the lessons they helped you integrate.

Insurance is a shitcoin ๐
"You never know when you're going to run into a semi full of corvettes" as my Dad told me.
The future is uncertain & that is why we save in the hardest money to have existed.
Bitcoin is the best insurance against future uncertainty.
