Can someone for the love of god make a simple app that fetches new YT videos from creators via RSS and download the videos with yt-dlp?
Then the user can watch them locally without having to deal with Youtube(spyware) frontend or any alternative frontend at all.
Maybe i should do it my self... 🤔

This shouldn't be that hard. All channels have hidden RSS feeds. Monitoring the feed is the issue that I struggle with. But I'm a noob. (I had issues when writing RSS feed bots for Nostr.)

No longer works, just like Invidious and Piped. Youtube sucessfully blocked their methods, it's been 6+ months and no fix has been made. GrayJay still works, FreeTube aswell according to some users (but it's desktop only...), but for how long? It's a cat and mouse game trying to find workarounds, Youtube will eventually block them aswell. 🫤
