Well, that may work for you and your nonstick pan, but cast iron is a different story. I came to learn that it requires a bit more care and attention to maintain but if you give it some love, it'll never let you down.

But I guess if you're satisfied with your easy-to-clean nonstick pan, that's your choice. Just don't come crying to me when you have to replace it in a year or two because the coating has peeled off.

(never would've guessed that arguing about pans was going to be a big thing for me today!)

Blame @allen. Tbh I love my cast iron, and if I have the time to give it the needed TLC I’ll use it. I’m obsessive about the drying/storage of it. My current system dominates in terms of time efficiency tho

I terms of "high time preference efficiency" maybe yeah, got to give you that one. To each his own, as long as we all get to eat some eggs for breakfast, it's all good.
