Nostr long form client have a ton of unrealized potential, and I’m not sure if anyone is even thinking about these things:

- AI writing tools

- Clean UI/UX for referencing notes, audio and video embeds, streams, highlights, profile widgets

- ChatGPT-style querying of content (on the reading end)

- Probably a bunch of things I’m not even thinking about…

We can absolutely design the best writing and sharing tools and I think we will have them - just a matter of time.

Do you think having in “in client” in snort coracle etc. is better than on a separate client like hablas.news?

I think there’s room for both. I do think you should try to keep users on the platform if you can - but if developer doesn’t want to add that feature then link out.

I just think it’s a more streamlined experience if the person doesn’t need to visit another website.

I’m sure we’ll see many clients though. Up to devs if they want to recreate that experience and make it competitive with a dedicated client.

Yeah, I agree. It would be great to keep it in client. I think I read that coracle was going to do it too.

I should make it clear that there have been no concrete plans for this. I just design stuff in hopes of enticing nostr:npub1v0lxxxxutpvrelsksy8cdhgfux9l6a42hsj2qzquu2zk7vc9qnkszrqj49 to implement them 😂

A dev pitch deck of sorts

😂😂 I know. It must be nice having your stuff all over nostr. Im cruising around and like oh, that looks like karnage’s work!

Just playing a role 😆

A valuable one. Beautiful things are much more enjoyable to interact with😁.

You are absolutely right, there is an abundance of unrealized potential when it comes to maximizing the capabilities of Nostr☕⚡💥

I'm currently posting my long form newsletter both with Beehiiv and on Blogstack.io (Nostr client).

The main difference today for me is discoverability. My Nostr followers need to actively go to blogstack.io or habla.news to find the content.

I do post a short form note with a link to the article when I publish it and I'm hoping that blogstack.io or habla.news soon develop the capability to automatically post a short form note with the summary of the article so that my followers can, for example, see on Damus that there is a new article and can follow a link to it or maybe even read it within their client like @sitko was asking about

Yes this would be great but it’s for the client devs to implement. Should absolutely be a thing!

Wen Emacs on nostr and vice versa? 😜

Seriously though, I agree with you!

There are lots of features that are still missing on Nostr long form websites but that's a matter of time.

Even more important than what you mentioned above, it's the issue of analytics. With Nostr it's hard to know how many people read the long form post.

You can tell how many liked it or zapped you but not how many read it.

Amethyst shows view counts I believe.

What features do you have in mind?
