Another option is just to minimize the non-custodial apps. I zap from Phoenix, but when I receive zaps it goes to a custodial wallet and I pull the funds off it every once in awhile.
If you don't want to do a web server thing like https://orange.surf/public-btcpay-umbrel-tailscale/, then you can use a semi trusted solution that resolves to your own node like https://stacking.tips
