Anyone have thoughts on how a company can write up thier employee because they won’t post what they are told to post on social media? It’s an employee liability to post anything on social media , getting fired is upheld in court, plus social media is not good for people’s mental conditions,, how can a company force its employees to post on social media and not get sued ? It doesn’t make sense to me , hopefully someone has insights ,, thanks in advance if you do. Blessings you way to all!

Generally speaking the only way an employer could force that is if it is specified in a contract and even then it would be limited to those employees for whom it is assumed it would be part of their regular duties (ie Amazon couldn’t just slip in a clause and force delivery drivers to post shit for them on social media).
They can make prohibitions about posting on social media to some degree, but they cannot compel you to post.
At least in the United States it would probably be challenged a violation of the Constitution, though corporations also have immense power and influence, and sadly most people would probably just go along with it for fear of losing their job.
I see it as a total violation of our constitution , but it’s been trampled on since I was born in 73, unfortunately it keeps getting worse. I googled “can a company be sued by an employee for making them post the on social media”, the only results I kept getting were employees getting sued and held liable for what they say on social media ,, nothing about the employee rights go figure
That is kind of what I was thinking , but it seems to be happening. Good point on the employment contract too. This clearly makes me want to help create a client that can manage a property/properties and allow the residents to be in a community that’s connected via nostr.. almost all rental properties are being sucked in or have been sucked into a centrilized management solution that takes thier cut and uses your metrics to grow thier own businesses , like invest in the restoration company that you require your community managers to use instead of using local trusted sources, It’s seems like a sham to me and there are probably enough folks out there that would certainly move into a community like that. At least from my experience on nostr so far , it would be the least emotionally manipulated group of residents and probably create the most positive environment to live in I’ve seen.
