people think that cats are less personable because they don't have eyebrows like dogs do

that's because even though dog hearing is nearly as fancy as cats, cats have fully articulated ears that can point around about 180 degrees and their high frequency hearing is better

the reason why is that they are smaller and their prey are smaller so they have to be a lot more precise to catch them

so, cat's ears got all the motor circuitry that went into dog eyebrows, and the way that the cat is posing its ears is the cat version of eyebrows

just takes a bit to get used to how they use them to articulate their feelings, because they do double duty as highly sensitive sensors and not just stupid facial expressions
