It certainly takes persistence to decode the gibberish. One thing to keep in mind is, there are a lot of different things calling themselves "gnostic," and they have very little in common with each other. Yes, the cream in the middle is something you have to get yourself. That's actual gnosis, or knowledge. Knowledge of what? That's the thing. That's why I go on about reality being different from perceived reality. That's just logic, and even knowing that isn't gnosis. Gnosis is fleeting, like when God showed only a tiny part of himself to Moses. That's allegory for what I'm describing. But no amount of description can transmit it.
I think this is what this teacher you shared is building to.
And that's why Christianity can only ever amount to a game of telephone. Its not bad to play, but they are prideful when they assert that their way is The Way or the Only way. That's just wrong. Its only guaranteed Not to be the way. And its biblically wrong, too. Jesus said "No one comes to the Father except through me," but that is grossly misinterpreted, and grossly conflated with the church. Church is a place of faith, or supposed to be, but they don't even know what faith is, so they do exactly the opposite of faith and assert themselves over others, who they are supposed to view as brothers and sisters. There's no pride in faith. That's impossible. So if there's pride, there's no faith.
This, I think, is why gnosis usually happens in moments of crisis, such as death. In such moments, you drop your pride. You drop yourself. With yourself out of your way, you can experience a dose of reality. But if you're going to survive and tell anyone about it, "you-ness" has to return. That's why God told Moses he would die if he saw any more. That's also why Zeus told whats-her-face she'd die if she saw Zeus' true form, and then he had to carry Dionysus in his thigh. Different traditions, same meaning.
