This dude sounds like a hysterical leftist.

Federal judges (low-level judiciary branch) basically had veto power over the President (very top of executive branch). One of the few powers the President has is to interpret the law and issue executive orders to carry out the law. With the nationwide injunctions, any low-level rogue judge could issue, Presidents on both sides were left impotent, basically. It was an abuse of that tool, as the Supreme Court stated. Now they have to go through a slightly more involved process to challenge the validity of EOs. This is a win, in my opinion.

Naw. This ain’t it bro

Why would we want low level judges being able to block the President? That’s not how the balance of power is supposed to work

I flip it back to you. Why is the prez ruling by EOs?

What happens when the next guy (say a communist) comes in?

At the end of the day, it’s the death to civil liberties

EOs is one of the main tools the President has to carry out the will of the people.

What happens when a communist comes in next? There are checks and balances. That’s why we have a Supreme Court and Congress. A random federal judge having veto power over the president is not how this system was set up.

I think that’s an exaggeration. The ways to check the executive branch are still there. The Supreme Court just struck down a measure that was being abused.

What check and balances? Those are gone now lol

The Supreme Court’s decision does shift the balance by making it harder for courts to broadly (nationwide) halt executive actions, but it doesn’t dismantle the system or give free rein to the president. The judiciary can still intervene with a narrower scope, and Congress still has control over the budget (they can refuse to fund the President’s EOs like ICE for deportations), and they can impeach the president.

Too many people are overreacting. The ruling wasn’t controversial (6-3), and it addressed an abuse of power from unelected officials that needed to be corrected.

Hope I’m wrong, but there’ll be a day when we need these nationwide injunctions back

At the end of the day, it’s less freedoms in a Jewish dictatorship

The nationwide injunctions are a double edge sword.

An EO to close the border being blocked by a nationwide injunction is reducing the freedom and will of citizens.

An EO to prevent mandatory vaccination by schools or employers being blocked is not giving anyone any more freedom.

Low-level judges can be corrupted and compromised, so giving them the power to unilaterally block the president on a nationwide basis is not conducive to effective governance imo.

Yes they are. Not disagreeing on that. In this case I rather have it bc once it’s gone, it’s gone. Never having that again unfortunately lol

Anyways, buy btc and stay mobile. We are gonna need it

They are regional now, so indeed stay mobile in case one needs to hop between states

When nationwide injunctions were good lol

We are on some deep shit now hahaha

EOs should be challenged but not “stoppable” by anyone but the Supreme Court.

I love ACB ripping into Jackson, and that the other justices signed off on it. Lowest common denominator judicial is not the bar for the Supreme Court.

Have fun in your Ai prison lol

I bet you think Trump is a “King.”
