Fucking charlatans failing at middle school science everywhere. Being an expert in one field does not make you good at any other field.

I'm so tired of this particular brand of stupid.

I get what you're saying, but personally I don't think it's quite that simple. Over my decade of being in the regen ag rabbit hole I've been exposed to multiple sources discussing wireless signal impacts on animals and plants.

Whether that's science or ScIEnCe I can't say.

I remain receptive to all theories because our exposure to these signals is significantly short considering the timeline of history, but that change also hasn't occurred in a vacuum. 🤷

Keep in mind every single EMF waves power drops off as an inverse square. Basically meaning really really fast drop off. Magnetic fields are inverse square, because they are the same thing, so the curve of nothing to suddenly snapping together when playing with strong magnets gives you a feel for how quickly power from a wireless transmitter falls off.

That our receivers work is not showing how strong the waves are, more how amazingly sensitive they are.

Also, none of this is new. The universe blasts radiation across the entire spectrum constantly and always has. The static you hear on a radio tuned to no station is the background radiation of the universe converted to audible noise. That, the real science, is far more amazing to stop and think about than any “yeah but what if maybe“ podcast ScIenCe.

Here is an example of this guy posting bunk anyone can work out for themself if they stop to think about it. No degree or scientific paper reading required.

He recently posted saying your plastic cutting board exposes you to 10 credit cards worth of plastic a year.

Visualize 40 credit cards stacked up for a family of 4. Now compare that to the size of your cutting boards. There would be nothing left in a year before accounting for bits that came loose but fell on your floor or went down the drain. But we all know plastic cutting boards last for years. That number is obvious BS.

I'm not saying keep your plastic cutting board or that microplastics aren't bad. I'm pointing out this dude posts obvious BS if you stop and think for yourself. It is the nature of someone who makes their income from sensational health claims. They have to keep hunting for new sensational health claims to post or that income falls off. There is no opposing financial incentive for him towards accuracy in his posts. All incentives are for novel and sensational.

Very fair points! I reserve the right to still remain skeptical of everything regardless of science or ScIeNcE.

I'm seeing a lot of blinded cross posting to nostr from all sorts of folks. They don't seem to understand that nostr as of today's audience that is active here is still "cypherpunky" (bleeding edge, anarchist... submit favorite term here) enough to merit a non fiat social media approach.
