I just watched Home Alone with my kids.

In my memory, the whole movie was about Kevin fighting off the burglars.

But that’s only like 10 minutes!

Turns out the movie is about the value of family vs loneliness.

I’m not crying at the end of Home Alone, you are!

Damn idk if I'm just really baked but that was profound man

Thank you my bro. I’m a little high as well ;-)

It’s a little more complex than that, especially if you take the neighbor’s sub plot into account.

There were quite a few life lessons in that movie but it never felt like you were being lectured to. That’s the difference between writers back then versus writers of today.

Agreed

Also about inflation.

An average family living in a mansion just outside of NYC, taking full family vacations overseas.

Boy does that feel like another world, now.
