Hmm, you don't think Russia could completely destabilize Europe and effectively bring us back to 1997, as Putin demanded before invading Ukraine? If Ukraine falls, Russia will get their hands on most of Ukraine’s weapons and know-how, in addition to all the combat experience they've gained over these years of war.
And they don't need to invade every country directly. They're excellent at hybrid operations—first ruining the political climate and internal discourse, then showing up with "brotherly help." Just look at what's happening in Slovakia now.
Honestly, I don't expect anything from the EU; it’s systematically impotent and totally incapable of swift, decisive action. On the other hand, I do think some kind of coalition of the willing could step up. And if not? Well, then we're fucked, and the Iron Curtain will come down again.
I don't think russia can get hands on lot of ukranian know how. People who have that knowhow run into europe or they will fight. If russian get to piss on tree in west ukraine, he will die. They maybe get controll over ukraine in couple of decades. but russia probably kolapse before it.

I did not expect gulags from EU for atleast another 15 years, and putin can’t send ukranian emigrants in EU into gulag.

I was referring to those that didn't manage to leave UA time. Probably the first thing when you overthrow the govt as an occupier, you seal the borders.
You can’t do it, if you are sorounded by armed hostile population without huge army to place it on border. I don't think they will not want do it, but they will not be able do it.
I think you're overlooking how conformist a large chunk of the population can be, and how they will justify almost anything if it is necessary for survival under the new conditions. On top of that, you have opportunists who will gladly collaborate. Yes, many of the best people will leave—but they will make up only a small fraction of the population.

I prefer to give people ability to buy legali weapons. With all records on couple of hdd with huge electromagnet with close proximity. No any other backup :) Turn magnet on when russia invade.
Russia can try attack state with lot of weapons in hands of civilian population, but controlling it is on whole another level.
